Make Your Own Infused Water

Hydration is so important, especially during the summer months when its hot and we are more active outside.  Personally, I drink a lot of water! I mean ALOT!  Plain water can get boring, so I like to infuse my water with fruits, vegetables and herbs.  Infused water is a great replacement for soda, tea, juice, and sports drinks.  Making your own infused water is very easy to do and the flavor combinations are endless!

Strawberry, Walnut, and Oat Shake

Strawberry season has officially begun and I can’t get enough of these sweet berries.  Every June we have a family tradition of going strawberry picking at a local farm and the kids love it.  We usually end up with strawberry juice stains on our clothes and lots of delicious berries to bring home. Broccoli and Cheddar Cheese Quinoa Cups

I am so excited to share this recipe with you! I love quinoa and I’m always looking for good recipes that my kids will enjoy too.  This one is a hit! I love making these because they are simple to make, packed with protein, and they freeze well.  They are the perfect size for kids too! I hope your family enjoys these quinoa cups as much as we do!

Curly Sweet Potato Fries

Over the past few months I have been eating a lot of sweet potatoes.  I can’t get enough of them! They are a great source of dietary fiber, anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals and they taste great! I received a Paderno Spiral Slicer as a gift and I immediately wanted to make curly sweet potato fries with them. This has quickly become a family favorite so I wanted to share the recipe with you!
