Eat Mighty! Mighty Nut Recipes and Giveaway

Get Your Freekeh On!

Hmmmm….What?!? That’s right, I tried Freekeh and it is one of my new favorite grains! You may be wondering what Freekeh is.  Freekeh is an ancient roasted grain that has an awesome nutty, chewy texture. What’s more, Freekeh has up to 3 times the amount of fiber and protein as brown rice and is naturally low in sodium and it’s vegan! Not to mention that it is certified organic, Non GMO, and grown in the USA.

So what do you do with Freekeh? So far I have used it in my chicken stir fry and made a Mexican salad with it. Yum! It would also be great in soups, pilafs, salads, chilis, stews etc…The possibilities are endless!

Plenti Greek Yogurt~A Protein Packed Snack To Fuel Your Day

Do you love Greek yogurt? I do! I recently had the opportunity to try the new Plenti Greek Yogurt from Yoplait.  I was excited to try this yogurt because  Plenti Greek yogurt is made with whole grain oats, flax seeds,  pumpkin seeds and delicious fruit mixed right in. Plus it’s packed with protein and lower in sugar than some of the other Greek yogurts on the market (Plenti Yogurt has a 1:1 protein to sugar ratio…12g of each). It’s the perfect snack!

BAMR Band Review

I am so excited and honored to do a product review for BAMR bands. BAMR (Bad Ass Mother Runner) bands are non slip fitness headbands that are comfortable, stylish and affordable.  Katie Heddleston is the creator and founder of BAMR bands.  She is a registered dietician, a runner, a mom to 2 young boys and a Fitfluential and Sweat Pink Ambassador.  Katie wanted to create a fitness headband that was fashionable AND practical and she succeeded!!!
